About the Summer Camp
The CTY Summer Camp is a flagship programme of the Esangbedo Humanitarian Foundation’s Catch Them Young (CTY) Initiative. It is designed to give young people a safe and inspiring space to learn, connect, and grow beyond the classroom.
Each year, the camp brings together students and teachers from local schools to explore a blend of life skills, practical training, critical awareness, and creative activities. Through interactive sessions, hands-on workshops, and team-based experiences, participants are equipped with the confidence, knowledge, and values needed to thrive in today’s world.
The camp is a platform that ignites potential, nurtures leadership, and fosters a sense of responsibility among the next generation. By combining fun, learning, and collaboration, the CTY Summer Camp helps shape future-ready, ethical, and resilient young leaders who will make a difference in their communities.
CTY Summer Camp 2025 – Ignite Your Potential
In August 2025, the Esangbedo Humanitarian Foundation hosted the CTY Summer Camp under the theme “Ignite Your Potential.” Over five days, students from three local schools came together at the Nosakhare Model Education Centre to learn, create, and connect.
What We Did
The camp delivered a balanced and engaging curriculum:
Soft Skills: teamwork, self-awareness, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Hard Skills: hands-on production of liquid soap, bleach, Vaseline, and body care products, sparking entrepreneurial curiosity.
Awareness Sessions: discussions on digital safety & cybersecurity, irregular migration & human trafficking, and environmental sustainability.
Creative & Physical Engagement: paper craft, problem-solving games, and the CTY Inter-School Olympics which fostered sportsmanship and collaboration.

Voices from the Camp
“I never knew I could make my own body spray and soap for the house. Now I believe I can do this and even sell to support my family.”
Gift Olatunjoye (Student)
“Before now, I could never speak up in public. This camp taught me confidence and that I can learn anything if I try.”
Confidence (Student)
“The digital safety session was incredibly relevant. My students are now more aware of how to protect themselves online — even myself.”
