What We Do

Migration

EHF provides essential advisory services to potential migrants, equipping them with accurate information about the risks of irregular migration and guiding them toward safer, legal alternatives through counseling, workshops, and resource sharing,

Human Rights Protection

EHF leads the fight against human trafficking, gender-based violence, child labor, and other forms of exploitation by advocating for stronger policies, raising awareness, and providing support to vulnerable individuals and communities.

Advocacy / Outreach

EHF drives lasting change through advocacy and outreach by collaborating with communities, policymakers, and international partners to create sustainable solutions that empower individuals, protect vulnerable groups, and foster long-term societal development.

Rehabilitation and Reintegration

EHF provides support for return, reintegration and rehabilitation for survivors of trafficking, abuse, or displacement through capacity building and skill acquisition, psycho-social support, and safe shelters.

Why We Do What We Do

Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, holds great potential but faces major social and economic challenges, including poverty, unemployment, and limited access to education and healthcare. Issues like irregular migration, human trafficking, and gender-based violence further threaten vulnerable populations.

The Esangbedo Humanitarian Foundation (EHF) was founded to address these challenges, driven by a commitment to human dignity and social justice. Through strategic partnerships and targeted interventions, EHF empowers individuals, supports communities, and works toward a future where every Nigerian can thrive.

Our Initiatives

We are committed to a proactive approach in tackling societal challenges before they emerge. By changing beliefs, cultures, and values, we aim to empower communities—especially youth and girls in underserved areas—with crucial information and resources. Our initiatives focus on advocacy, capacity building, skills development, school engagement, and market outreach. Through these efforts, we work to reach those in need, create lasting impact, and inspire a ripple effect of positive change.

Our current initiatives include:

Building Bridges Initiative

EHF organizes the “Building Bridges Webinar Series,” a bi-monthly online forum connecting Nigerians with experts on migration issues. These webinars, themed “Building Bridges: Shaping Migration,” feature discussions on migration trends, policies, human rights, and development.

In partnership with national and international organizations, the series aims to provide insights, facilitate informed discussions, and promote solutions for migration challenges in Nigeria.

Catch Them Young (CTY) Programme

The EHF CTY programme is an outreach initiative that educates children and young adults about migration risks, human trafficking, exploitation, and other dangers. The program establishes school clubs to continuously spread these messages and empowers students to become advocates in their communities.

Catch Them Young (CTY) School Club

The Catch Them Young School Club builds on insights from the Catch Them Young programme to ensure the sustainability of its message. It reinforces critical topics while promoting self-awareness, self-development, and informed decision-making. The club offers a structured curriculum with training, activities, skills development, and interactions with professionals, empowering students to understand and address irregular migration and human trafficking, and to lead positive lives.

Capacity Building and Skills Acquisition

The EHF focuses on empowering youth through strategic training in high-demand fields. By partnering with local and international organizations, EHF provides essential skills and knowledge for today’s competitive job market. Our initiatives, such as Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Training, Waste to Wealth, and Cisco Netacad, support both personal and professional development, with a special emphasis on young women in STEAM fields.
